About Adaptive Peak

Welcome

The Dr. Bernard R. and Edna M. Sears Adaptive Hockey Program at the Spaulding Adaptive Sports Centers is dedicated to the growth of adaptive hockey in the Boston Metro area and Eastern Massachusetts for individuals of all ages and abilities.

The Sears Adaptive Hockey Program has developed the Massachusetts Adaptive Hockey Initiative as a vehicle to bring the full spectrum of adaptive hockey—introductory through competitive– to Eastern Massachusetts.

The Massachusetts Sled Hockey Initiative is a collaborative effort of Spaulding Adaptive Sports Centers, Boston Shamrocks, Massachusetts Hockey, the Northeast Sled Hockey League, and the DCR Universal Access Program.

We offer coaching for all ability levels, ranging from first-timers to experienced and competitive players through our three different levels of programming: recreational programming, competitive adult and competitive youth teams.

RECREATIONAL PROGRAMMING

Throughout the year, community recreational programming opportunities are available for players of all levels. Weekly play is consistently offered September through March, and other programs and clinics are offered at varying locations throughout Eastern Massachusetts. All are welcomed and will be coached in small groups by expert professionals. Practices include skills training and small games while ensuring age-appropriate instruction and play.

SPAULDING BOSTON SHAMROCKS

Adult Competitive Team

The Spaulding Boston Shamrocks is our competitive adult team. They compete in tournaments regionally as a member of the Northeast Sled Hockey League. The team is collaboratively managed by Spaulding Adaptive Sports Centers and The Boston Shamrocks. We offer community players an opportunity to try out and move up to competition at regional and national levels.

SPAULDING SLEDGEHOGS

Youth Competitive Team

Our growing youth sled hockey team, The Spaulding Sledgehogs is one of the first youth competitive teams in the greater Boston Metro area. The team offers youth only practice times and competes in clinics and competitions regionally and nationally.
