Chair Yoga+ At Home --  VIRTUAL

During this unprecedented experience of working together to manage the impact of the Coronavirus, it is important to take care of ourselves. With the challenges and sense of isolation associated with social distancing, we are offering virtual yoga groups. Practicing yoga has been shown to decrease stress, manage pain and improve our overall wellbeing.

This chair class will start off with breath exercises as a means to connect to the present moment. Participants will then be led through a gentle seated yoga practice linking breath and movement together and will focus on strength, breathing, meditation, and lengthening the body. We will end with a guided meditation practice. This class will be offered live, through a two-way video chat using a program called Zoom. You will be able to watch the instructor demonstrate throughout class, and she can see you to provide specific suggestions and adaptations for your practice.

A link to the Zoom session and directions for using it will be provided prior to the start of class.

Please note: This class is one of our hybridized classes. This virtual class may share an instructor with a live Weingarten class.
