SASC_COVID-19 Safety Response


Infection Control Safety Goals:

* Abide by SRH, State and/or sport-specific organizations when appropriate
* All staff and participants will be screened for symptoms
* Maintain appropriate spacing of participants with clear visual signage at all locations
* Maintain participant groups 10 people or less at all times, with smaller dedicated cohorts of staff/participants
* Mandatory mask policy when social distancing not possible
* Minimize contact and sharing of equipment
* Frequent sanitization of equipment and hands before, during, after participation
* Re-evaluate safety response on an as-needed basis


Staff Protections
* All Staff complete symptom attestation prior to starting to work - covidpass.partners.org

- Staff shows work approval to on-site manager prior to starting work

* PPE use: gloves, masks, hand sani/wash, equipment disinfectant will all provided

- Provided masks
- Hand sanitizing stations at multiple locations
- Wash basin at McGraw faucet

* Client interactions

- Assign client/staff team cohorts to minimize cross-exposure between multiple people
- Transfers

* New gloves used and disposed of after transfer
* Utilize Indee Lift as possible to encourage greater independence and less staff-intensive carried transfers
* Encourage PCA or family member to assist with transfer as able

* After assist, PCA/family member must retreat 50' or more during programming

* Tools - each staff member has 'fanny pack' of personal tools to use for the summer, including personal pens, sharpie, dry-erase pen and clipboards


Client Protections

* Pre-participation symptom screening of participants - See SASC Covid Questionnaire and SASC Screening Criteria 5-29-20 both found in SOP/Covid folder

- Advanced confirmation phone call made with in 72 hours of appointment.

* Confirmation calls will be tracked in form to be developed by July 1

- On-site attestations - question list will be laminated and visible on-site - Temperature checks - not recommended be used unless individual develops symptoms while on-site. They have been found to be an inaccurate indicator, especially in thermally warm exterior environments.

* Social distancing at all times possible

- Remain within provided, demarked locations at arrival, during set-up and programming.
- No arriving early/lingering late in programming area
- PCAs and Family members will be asked to remain outside the programming area unless directly involved in assistance

* PPE Use

- Mandatory mask policy

* SASC will provide a single-use mask to be used at all times during programming.

- Hand sanitize/wash as you arrive, during programming and prior to departure - sanitizer and/or wash basins provided - SASC Staff will maintain disinfection logs of high-touch surfaces and shared-use equipment

* Bring a family member/pca to assist in transfers

- All non-registered visitors on site must provide contact information - Name/Phone # or Name/Email

* Personal belongings go into personal bag. Staff will not hold onto keys, personal masks etc.

- Bring and use only your own water bottle or towels

* SASC provided equipment will be disinfected prior to each use with an approved COVID-19 disinfectant.

- It is encouraged to bring personal gear such as helmets, tennis racket, yoga mats, etc

* Can purchase a helmet through SASC


Programming/Scheduling Changes

* Waiver/document signing

- To be completed virtually either prior to attendance or on personal device at site

* Sport selections

- Goals:

* Minimal contact: 6' distance maintained at all times possible
* Minimal to no sharing of equipment

- Boston/Weingarten

* Cycling - July stationary spin classes only. On terrain in Aug tbd

* Stationary cycles set up 12 feet apart

* Small Group Fitness Classes - offered in conjunction with virtual programming

* Individual fitness areas demarcated at 12' apart
* Single session per day to allow for disinfection of equipment/mats

- North Shore

* Cycling on terrain

* 2 staggered starts and maximum spacing each session

* Tennis

* Play groups do not rotate to minimize cross-exposure keeping staff/participant cohorts to a maximum of 4
* Single session offered once every/other week
* 3 courts will be available with 1 staff/court cohort

* Archery

* 3 hooting stations demarcated 8' apart with 'waiting' line 6' behind that
* 2 participants + 1 staff cohort for each station
* Single session offered every/other week

- Cape Cod/McGraw

* Cycling - stationary spin and on-terrain dependent on capacity and trail density

* On-terrain cycling staggered with 2-3 starts per session based on staffing
* Stationary cycling during peak trail usage periods

* Small Group Fitness Classes - Hybrid in-person/virtual

* Individual fitness areas demarcated at 12' apart
* Single session per day per class to allow for disinfection of equipment/mats

* Yoga - hybrid in-person/virtual

* Individual yoga areas demarcated 8' apart
* Single session/week limits re-use of shared yoga materials

* Hiking/walking

* Mountain Biking

* Introductory year - one or two participants per slot one day/week

* Yard Games: Corn Hole, Boccia, Ladderball

* Scheduling

- Max numbers based on space available for proper social distancing
- Staggered starts considered to minimize group sizes

Density

- Providing proper social distancing through location choice and demarcation of use-zones
- Restrictions of participation due to staffing
- Maximum 10 staff and/or participants in given location at given time

* Use of staff-participant cohorts to minimize cross-over interactions

Facilities

* Exterior Spaces

- Hand washing/sanitizing stations provided
- McGraw water taps - 2 taps locked-off. Tap outside office set-up as hand-washing station
- Distancing circles or other demarcations

* Pre-program waiting area demarked
* Set-up/individual use zones demarked
* SRH approved signage posted at arrival zones, use-zones and waiting zones

- 'Dirty' area set up and demarcated for items requiring disinfecting

* Interior Spaces

- Equipment Sheds

- Tennis

* Tennis chairs

* When possible only use a chair for one individual/day
* All non-porous surfaces wiped between uses
* All porous surfaces (cushions) sprayed between uses

* Tennis racquets to be used/handled by one individual/day
* Tennis Balls

* Each player gets set of uniquely numbered balls to handles/serve with
* Instructor may assist retrieval of balls

- Archery bows/arrows

* Arrows are retrieved and wiped down by staff before and after handling * Participant is assigned a single bow which is wiped down after use

- Yoga

* Mats and other items used by one participant per week
* Sprayed/wiped at end of session
* Encourage participants to bring own bolsters, mats, etc

- Yard Games

* All items assigned to participants by color * Hand held items to be used for one session per day * Staff retrieves thrown items and returns to participants. Disinfects hands pre/post

* Miscellaneous Items

- Maintain disinfection logs with date, time and scope of cleaning - Hand Sanitizer pump-bottles dispensed by staff (otherwise, hands-free stations provided) - Sunscreen - recommended participants supply own. Staff will dispense a palm-full if needed

* Vans/Trailers

- Driver/passenger maintain rolls to and from site - Common touch-points wiped down as entering vehicle and as exiting
